My exodus from Roman Catholicism

In this intriguing autobiographical account, Bishop Paul de Ballester (+1984) unfolds the secret world of papal infallibility. Being of Spanish decent and desiring to follow Christ, he became a Franciscan monk. Much to his dismay, in his monastery’s library he discovered, through the writings of the Early Church Fathers and the documents of the Latin Church itself, that Rome’s claim to hierarchal primacy is fabricated and contradictory to Holy Scripture and the Tradition of the genuine One Catholic and Apostolic Church. His search for the truth encountered great resistance from his spiritual father and the Roman hierarchy, but by God’s grace he succeeded in his exodus from the Latin Church. He became a monk in the Greek Orthodox tradition, being first honored with the grace of priesthood (in Scranton, Pa), and later with the grace of hierarchal ordination, serving as a Bishop of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America in Mexico. His professors at Halke (Theological University of Constantinople), may have discouraged him from publishing this most rare and scholarly treatise in Spanish and other languages for the sake of the ongoing dialogues of ecumenistic love. This book, which surprisingly vanished from all Greek bookstores for decades, was unearthed and republished in modern Greek by the Stavropegiac Monastery of Macheras, Cyprus, in 2009. Rights of translation were assigned to C. Zalalas, the same year, and this great account of Orthodox truth has been since then, published in Romanian, Italian, Arabic, and Russian.
